CCCHC Receives the 2025 CHAMPS Excellence in Innovation Award

We are honored to share that Coal Country Community Health Center has been awarded the 2025 CHAMPS Excellence in Innovation Award for our Scrubs Camp program!

For more than 30 years, the Community Health Association of Mountain/Plains States (CHAMPS) has recognized exceptional contributions to health center communities across Region VIII, which includes Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. This specific award celebrates innovation, creativity, and impactful solutions that support local communities and we are proud to be this year’s honoree.

Scrubs Camp introduces local 8th grade students to hands-on healthcare experiences, helping them explore future careers and envision themselves in the healthcare workforce. It’s one of our favorite programs, and we’re thrilled to see its impact recognized at the regional level.

Coal Country Community Health Center was recently selected as a recipient of a special Community Builder grant from the Offutt Family Foundation and R.D. Offutt Company.
