Medicare Basics will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. in the SMC Conference Room. The session will cover Medicare Terms and Definitions, Medicare Coverage: A, B, C & D, Medicare Initial Visits, Preventative Services, Advance Care Planning and a review of Supplement Plans. CCCHC hires new LMSW
Coal Country Community Health Center recently hired Dan Foster, Licensed Master Social Worker. Dan will primarily serve students in the I.M.P.A.C.T. Program in our local school districts. He will also assist the Behavioral Health team in providing adult therapy services in our CCCHC clinics.
EMDR Therapy now offered at CCCHC
Behavioral health providers Melissa Herman, Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Masters Addiction Counselor and Talitha Schnaidt, Licensed Profession Counselor took part in an extensive training program through The Maiberger Institute based out of Boulder, Colorado. These providers are now certified to offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
Local healthcare organizations seek community input
CCCHC has teamed up with the UND Center for Rural Health, Custer Health, Hilltop Home of Comfort, Knife River Care Center and Sakakawea Medical Center to gather information about the communities we serve and learn more about how local services are used. The results of this survey will be used to develop a plan to improve and expand the care we provide.
