About CCCHC Beulah Clinic
Coal Country Community Health Center - Beulah Clinic began operations in 2003. In the spring of 2018, CCCHC started a construction and remodel project to the current Beulah Clinic. This project will enhance the way CCCHC provides medical care, by doubling our clinic space to accommodate patient and staff needs. CCCHC anticipates that the construction project will be complete around Thanksgiving of 2018. When finished, the clinic will be equipped with 24 exam rooms, two treatment room, laboratory services, and x-ray technology.

Dr. Aaron Garman began his practice at Coal Country Community Health Center upon inception in December 2003. He is from Williston, ND and attended the University of North Dakota where he received his Doctorate of Medicine Degree.
Dr. Garman is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has obtained his certification of added qualifications in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Dr. Garman has been the recipient of the Best Doctors in America award every year from 2008‐2017 and has served on numerous national Technical Expert Panels for CMS and co‐chaired the National Quality Forum's Rural Healthcare MAP. He serves on the Board of Directors for the North Dakota Academy of Family Medicine and was awarded the North Dakota Family Physician of the year award in 2015. In 2015, he was also awarded the North Dakota Rural Provider of the Year from the Center for Rural Health. Dr. Garman is on the Quality Healthcare Associated Board of Directors.
Dr. Garman serves as medical director for Coal Country Community Health Center and continues to teach medical students and residents through the University of North Dakota as a clinical faculty member.
Dr. Klindworth began her practice in Beulah in June 2003 and has been with Coal County Community Health Center – Beulah Clinic since its inception in December 2003.
She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the North Dakota Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Klindworth received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and completed her Family Medicine Internship and Residency at the UND Center for Family Medicine in Bismarck, North Dakota.
She is the 2018 President-elect for the Board of Directors of the North Dakota Academy of Family Physicians and is an Associate Professor of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Alberta, Canada.
Dr. Klindworth serves as Chief of Medical Staff at Sakakawea Medical Center in Hazen, North Dakota, and serves on the Beulah Wellness Center Foundation, Beulah, North Dakota.
Dr. Klindworth has been the recipient of the Best Doctors in America Award in 2012, 2013 and 2017.
Dr. Michelle Placke began her practice at Coal Country Beulah Clinic in August of 2016. She is from Beulah, ND. She completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, and then attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston where she received her Doctorate of Medicine Degree. Dr. Placke completed her residency at Altru Family Medicine in Grand Forks, ND, and was the recipient of the 2016 William M. Buckingham, MD Outstanding Resident Award from the North Dakota Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Placke and her family are happy to be in Beulah and are looking forward to being active members of the community for many years to come.
Dr. Orlan Jackson and his wife, Caryl, moved to Hazen in approximately 1990. They have two children, Kevin and Brian, both of whom have gone through the Hazen school system.
They are proud to be members of the community. Orlan enjoys practicing medicine, especially working with geriatrics and inpatient, or hospitalized patients. He and his wife enjoy spending time together working in the garden or going for walks.
Dr. Jackson is board certified by the American Academy of Family Physician's and residency trained from the University of North Dakota. He currently practices at the Beulah Clinic.
Mitch Leers, MPAS, PA-C began practicing at Coal Country Community Health Center in August of 2017. He currently practices at the Beulah Clinic.
Mitch is originally from Portland, OR and moved to Hazen, ND in 2001 and graduated from Hazen High School. Mitch graduated with a Master in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Dakota in May of 2017. He is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Prior to this, Mitch earned her BS in Respiratory Therapy from the University of Mary in 2011 and worked as a respiratory therapist at the University of Minnesota Medical Center and Sanford Bismarck.
Kayla Olson began her practice at Coal Country Community Health Center in Beulah in early 2014. Kayla grew up in Mott, ND and went on to receive her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Clinical Lab Science at the University of North Dakota in 2009. In 2013 she graduated with a Masters from the University of South Dakota Physician Assistant Studies Program. Kayla is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, North Dakota Academy of Physician Assistants, and SDAPA South Dakota Academy of Physician Assistants.
Robert Volk, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, has his clinic practice at Coal Country in Beulah. Robert graduated from the University of Mary in 2006 with his Family Nurse Practitioner Degree. He is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He graduated from Minot State University with his Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2002.
Robert and his wife, Ginger, have three children. Robert enjoys sports, hunting, playing golf, watching movies and spending time with his family.
Eric Klindworth began his practice at Coal Country Community Health Center in Beulah in 2003. A native of Stanton, ND, Eric achieved his undergrad at Jamestown College and Masters in Physical Therapy at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. Before moving to Beulah in 2003, Eric worked in Edmonton, Alberta and Bismarck.
When Eric isn't busy lending his talents to the Coal Country team, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and watching his kids' extracurricular activities.
